QIM is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented online interns to join our growing threat intelligence team as Global Threat Intelligence Analysts, focusing on Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). Your Mission: As a Global Threat Intelligence Analyst Intern at QIM, you will be integral to our efforts in providing timely and accurate intelligence to our clients. You will leverage OSINT techniques to identify, verify, and analyze potential crises and threats across the globe. Your contributions will directly support our real-time monitoring capabilities and inform our strategic analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Real-time Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor and analyze a wide range of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) sources, including news outlets, social media, government reports, and other publicly available information, to identify emerging safety and security issues (e.g., political instability, cyber incidents, social unrest, health crises, environmental hazards).

  • Information Verification: Critically evaluate and verify the accuracy and reliability of information gathered from diverse OSINT sources, applying analytical rigor to discern credible intelligence.

  • Concise Alert Creation: Draft timely and concise operational alerts summarizing key safety and security events, ensuring clarity and actionable information for our clients.

  • Trend Identification & Forecasting: Contribute to weekly briefings by identifying major security trends within your area of focus and assisting in the development of short-term forecasts based on your analysis.

  • Knowledge Base Contribution: Support the maintenance and expansion of our internal knowledge base by updating country and threat profiles with relevant information and analysis.

  • AI-Powered Intelligence Gathering: Utilize cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence tools to enhance your OSINT gathering and analysis capabilities, learning to leverage AI for efficient information mining.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with QIM’s analysis team, potentially contributing insights that integrate sectorial, market, and other forms of intelligence.

Your Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in at least the final years of a Bachelor’s Degree or pursuing a Master’s Degree in Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies, Economics, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.

  • A strong understanding of current global affairs, with a particular interest in security, political, and economic dynamics.

  • Familiarity with the geopolitical landscape of at least one of the following regions: Africa, Asia/Pacific, Americas, Europe/CIS, MENA.

  • Adaptable and thrives in a collaborative, international, and remote team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively independently in a remote setting.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong computer literacy and web research skills. Familiarity with web editing or data visualization tools is a plus.
